Median Individual Worker Income - Female

Select a County
This indicator measures the female median individual worker income for the county.

Why is this important?

The median is a value that exists in the middle of a chronological set of numbers.  The median individual worker income is the income in the middle of all individual workers' incomes.  This indicator is specific to females.  When the average wage grows but the median wage stays the same, it means that, statistically, only workers in the top half of the job market are experiencing increases.  This indicator also highlights the gender differences between male and female worker wages.
