The Data Committee is a regional committee of the North Jersey Health Collaborative (NJHC) comprised of representatives from each NJHC county. Our role is to provide support to the collaborative by…

• Developing and directing the Community Health Needs Assessment methodology .
• Sharing and compiling existing data 
• Collecting and/or supporting workgroups with the collection of new data 
• Establishing data-sharing and data-collection standards and policies for the collaborative as a whole. 
• Providing a Data Liaison at the county or workgroup level as a resource to NJHC partner organizations.

Since the beginning, the Data Committee has been here to assure that our decision-making is data-driven and that the work we do together is accessible, actionable and of the highest quality.

Throughout the planning and implementation process, Data Committee members are available to support your workgroup in creating and/or reviewing data collection instruments and procedures (e.g., reviewing a survey instrument to make sure it meets NJHC data collection standards), compiling existing data to inform decision-making, sharing best practices, and supporting evaluation efforts. We are also available to support individuals in finding relevant data, creating reports, navigating the website, assessing data sources, and answering questions about data collection, analysis, and quality.  Reach out at any time to data@njhealthmatters.org
